Trollbeads Day

For those of you that aren’t familiar with this brand, the Trollbeads day is an annual celebration that begins in 2014. Every year Trollbeads celebrates Trollbeads Day all over the world. It is a day where people celebrate and share their stories and their affection to Trollbeads. Each year on Trollbeads Day, usually in June, a new limited-edition bead or bracelet is introduced.

In 2014, for the first Trollbeads Day, it was released the silver bead from the very first designer of a Trollbead, Søren Nielsen. It has the emotions of Trollbeads. Intensity,  friendship, joy. You choose which troll is which word. For this is what Trollbeads is all about: individuality, creativity and wonderful imagination. It is engraved with the year 2014.
Trollbeads Day 2015 was a faceted glass bead that I like very much. This is its meaning “Let your spirit feel the break of dawn. Seek a moment of harmony and find inner peace. The forest quietly comes to life and the soft light breaks in the tree tops. The rays find their way to the forest floor which is slowly getting warmer. Life begins to trickle. Now it is dawn in the forest where all the trolls live.”
In 2016 the designer, Søren Nielsen, has designed the Lucky Friends Limited Edition bracelet and as something really special the Clover Bead was also available in 18k gold!

The Trollbeads Day 2017 bead is a hand-faceted Golden Rutilated Quartz, a precious stone with Rutile inside. The pieces of Rutile are small needle like threads. The stone is popularly known as the Venus Hair Stone and varies in colour from very bright to a deeper shade.
Golden Rutilated Quartz is an excellent stone, if you want to change direction in life. It cleanses and energizes, and it will help you make your life easier. It has the ability to lift your mood and is said to attract love… what’s not to like!

In 2017 Trollbeads celebrates with the Wings of Amber beads: an amber bead with embedded one or two little bees. Amber is fossilized tree resin and is therefore an organic material. Over time the resin hardens and after several million years it turns into the material, we know as amber. Most of the Trollbeads amber is from the Baltic Sea.
Due to the softness, it demands very skilled jewellery artisans to work with the material.

For Trollbeads Day 2019 they introduce six exclusive new beads in porcelain.
The beads are made in fluid porcelain and are then heated in a wood-fired kiln. After cooling off, they are glazed. Next, the beads are painted by hand in stunning patterns and then glazed and fired again before they are mounted with the Sterling silver core and stamped with 2019. The work of true artists.
